Reduce operating expense by over 20% through an innovative energy efficiency program

Ottawa, Canada - April 14, 2009 - - Strategic Clean Technology inc (SCTi) today announced an innovative program that enables companies to achieve savings of 20% or more on their electricity expenses. This program is targeted at the information and communications technology environment of companies, which can account for up to 70% of a company’s total electrical charges and a growing portion of capital investment.

In 2008, SCTi began to address this high energy cost area impacting most companies. Industry research has proven the significance of rising energy costs and SCTi responded by developing a comprehensive set of protocols and tools used to analyse and significantly reduce energy expenses. ‘Energy consumption of IT assets is a major cost factor that has been largely untouched by expense reviews due to the lack of exposure and relevant information’ stated Arnold Murphy, CEO of SCTi, ‘We’ve developed tools and methodologies that enable companies to realize the magnitude of the energy expenses. We then work with these companies to reduce their energy consumption, in turn increasing bottom line profits, and reducing the impact on the environment. A win-win for everyone.’

SCTi uses modelling techniques developed in-house to establish a baseline of power usage and determine the level of saving a company can achieve. Once the baseline is determined they work with the company to develop a detailed plan, identifying and addressing the high consumption elements.
